To adjust the sensitivity of the ring s motion detection start by opening up the ring app on your phone and tapping on your ring doorbell at the top of the screen.
Make sure your notifications are enabled in the ring app.

In the ring app go to your device settings and make sure the switches for both ring alerts and motion alerts are set to the blue on position.

If an event doesn t appear your ring device has most likely been disconnected from your wifi network.
When a motion alert is triggered on your ring device your amazon echo will flash yellow send an audible chime and announce that someone is at the front door or back door side yard etc.
You should also check your ring device s internet connection.
Then follow the prompts to save the change.
If your device is functioning properly a new event will appear in your activity log.
When you push the button on your ring it emits a sound.
